Having been in this business for 8 years, I definitely enjoy being in this job. I love creating wall art for families that will be treasured for years to come. I am thrilled when clients tell me that our work captures so many emotions. I love to see them year after year, seeing how their children have grown and create beautiful wall art that showcases their families! For this reason I have decided to begin a series which focuses on my loyal clients titled, “Growing”.
Phingphing & Jingjing’s Family
I first met this family several years ago when my older daughter was in the same class as Phingphing. Through that, our families have became friends.
Every year, other than documenting the family portraits, Phingphing will have us take a picture of her reading a book in the most creative way. She will always use that picture to enter the annual book reading contest at school.
For the first year, we did a cute theme for her at the park. The picture won her first prize! Since then, Mom was hooked in hiring me.
When Phingphing’s mom started a new kids clothes business, we also shot her promotional campaign pictures.
Before every session, the girls’ Mom and I will discuss on the clothing and concept of the shoot. I will suggest locations that will fit the concept.
Since their first session, I have continue to capture the incredible sisterly bond in the other sessions.
This family is one of the few that value photography and understand the importance of capturing the memories of their family over the years.
In 2020, I was fortunate yet once again to spend time with them during another family session! I absolutely love Mom’s vision that she brings to each of their sessions and I welcome the challenge of making those visions a reality for her images.
With the Covid pandemic, the family has put off their session for a few months but they still made it at the end of the 2021 with a session at the park!
Each session is always full of laughs and no matter how long we go without seeing each other, the conversation will always pick up right where it left off. Through the years, our kids have grown and although that makes me a little sad, I look forward to their future.
